Quick-Made Recipe

1. Gently heat whole milk with a split vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, and pinch of sea salt until steaming but not boiling.
2. Whisk in finely chopped dark chocolate, Dutch cocoa, cane sugar, and a touch of cornstarch slurry until completely silky and thickened.
3. Simmer on low for 3 minutes, stirring constantly to develop deep flavor and glossy texture.
4. Strain, froth with a hand blender, pour into warmed mugs, and crown with lightly whipped cream.
